RE: Thematic Colle and Phoenix games
I guess I should get cracking on the c3-Phoenix book I promised at the end of TMoZ.

RE: Thematic Colle and Phoenix games
Currently, the plan is "after"
1. Dutch, KID, and modern 2. c3-Phoenix 3. Annotated game collection And at that point, I'm hopeful I will have done my part to help Colle players. |

RE: Thematic Colle and Phoenix games
Well I finally got my self registered here RookPawn
![]() Yes indeed the 10...b6 scores well for black in the classical colle. My personally database counts 80 games. I have won 70, drawn 8 and lost 2. I will indeed look forward to the c3-Phoenix book as I have allready to you in mail Mr. Rudel - when can we expect it out Rudel ?A little late Happy New Year to all of you. What is the best black continuation in the phoenix attack in the c3-Colle. 1. d4 d5 2.Nf3 Nf6 3.e3 e6 4.Bd3 c5 5.c3 Nc6 6.Nbd2 Bd6 7.0-0 0-0 8.dxc5 Bxc5 9.b4! Bd6 10.Bb2 - and now what !? |

RE: Thematic Colle and Phoenix games
I haven't arrived at an answer to that...but it might be more a question of disposition. If I'm right, Black's best theoretical answer may involve some pretty meek play, which won't appeal to everyone.
Thanks for joining the forum! |

I can post my games here if someone could benefit from that You missed answering this question: I will indeed look forward to the c3-Phoenix book as I have allready to you in mail Mr. Rudel Smile - when can we expect it out Rudel ? |

RE: Thematic Colle and Phoenix games
Ha!
Yes, I realized just a few moments ago that I failed to answer your other question, so I came back here to do so. It seems you noticed this as well ![]() I would definitely enjoy seeing your games after ...e5. The c3-Phoenix Book has been pushed back because a book on meeting ...g6 defenses [and maybe the Dutch?] is going to come first. However, I am currently working on a science book and a Bible study, so even that would get pushed back. I'm hoping to have something out by the end of the year. We'll see if I make it. |
