Regrettable review on amazon
So, on a scale of 1 to 10, how bothered should I be at this review of Bxh7 (the person must really have it in for me, as he decided to post on both amazon.com and amazon.uk):
amazon.com version. Amazon.co.uk version. |

RE: Regrettable review on amazon
A few thoughts:
-This person clearly didn't do their research as you yourself said the same thing about the book in various places including TMoZ. -I wonder if this means he disliked the material in TMoZ, or just the fact that it was in both. -At least he told the truth about it being a "short review." How bothered should you be about the fact that it was a negative review? Maybe 2 or 3/10. How bothered should you be about the brevity, lack of clarity, and lack of research in the review? Maybe 9/10... -Max |

RE: Regrettable review on amazon
Thanks, Max. At least the review will likely stop others from doing the same thing. It is possible he bought both at once after hearing good things about Zuke 'Em.

RE: Regrettable review on amazon
You shouldn't be too bothered. It is the same warning that you give; buy one or the other, not both. Just in a different tone. You were very honest and upfront about this.

RE: Regrettable review on amazon
I think your answer was fair. It's just unfortunate that there are no other reviews, so the 1 star is your average review at the moment. (I'm looking at the US version) Hopefully, other readers will boost that up soon.

RE: Regrettable review on amazon
The person who posted the review sent me an email, and now I have a better understanding of the situation.
First, even if you get a return from Amazon, you still eat the shipping. This guy, from Sweden, paid more for shipping than the price of the book! Second, it is quite possible (given Amazon's recommendation system) that he simply got an email letting him know that a new book was available, and he got it. In fact, given he was in Sweden, he may have ordered both at once to save shipping (hence not receiving the warning in the Introduction not to get the next one). Third, he was kind enough to change his rating. |
